All remaining evacuation orders lifted for North Shore residents in Waialua and Haleiwa as water levels and the potential for dangerous flooding conditions continue to subside.
City officials continue to monitor conditions, including water levels and weather forecasts, but it has been determined that residents may safely return to previously evacuated areas.
Residents are advised to exercise caution when returning home and remain attentive to weather updates and should expect impacts to utility services as crews continue working on restoration.
As residents return, the Department of Emergency Management (DEM) advises the public to:
• Use caution when reentering homes and neighborhoods
• Watch for debris, mud, or damaged infrastructure
• Avoid standing water and report hazards such as downed lines or unstable structures
• Contact authorities if unsafe conditions are observed
Please continue to use 911 for emergencies only.
Traffic Impacts:
Waialua Beach Road Bridge has been reopened to local traffic.
Crews are preparing Farrington Highway Kaukonahua Stream Bridge (between Kaupe Road and Kamehameha Highway) to reopening later today.
Expect delays and traffic congestion as travel over these bridges may be reduced in speed and lane capacity.

The Wahiawa dam continues to be monitored as water levels remain elevated and as the potential for heavy rain continues. Waialua and Hale`iwa continue to be under evacuation orders. Residents who live west of Kaukonahua stream in Waialua are being strongly urged to leave to avoid being isolated if Farrington Highway deteriorates further due to rainfall. Drivers are not being allowed back into the area. There are a total of 131 people currently at six evacuation shelters. There are multiple full and partial road closures on key roadways across O`ahu. More than 200 rescues were conducted by first responders. The Honolulu Police Department and Honolulu Fire Department are actively deployed in the North Shore area and Honolulu Emergency Services (EMS) is staged nearby.
